Safety valve and check valve for your compressor
To protect piping and tanks from high pressures, the compressor is equipped with a safety valve and a check valve. There are different types, of 8, 10 and 12 bar: free or locked safety valves with various settings (available on request) and manual drain ring. The check valve, on the other hand, is available vertical, horizontal, male and female. In addition, VEPA provides PED-certified valves that guarantee excellent functionality of the air compressor.

PED certification for safety valves
The production and marketing of pressure components, including safety valves for air compressors, are regulated by the European PED Directive (Pressure Equipment Directive “PED” – formerly 97/23/EC), which introduces an updated reference framework for manufacturing and using pressure components. VEPA, therefore, provides its customers with PED-certified, calibrated and locked safety valves with manual drain rings of different sizes and, on request, of different calibrations. Accessory components such as bicone ogive and viton pads for check valves are also available.
